On August 21, 2020, cure-cosmetic brand Icepray announced Daniel as the model since he is a representative icon of good influence with a healthy and energetic image that goes well with Icepray’s vision. Icepray will renew its packaging with Braille. To commemorate the 1st year anniversary of the product launch and Daniel’s solo debut, No.1 is designated as Daniel’s unique number in the Kang Daniel Special Edition. CEO of BWave Company Kim Eunyoung commented, “We are planning to release an Icepray special edition that reflects Kang Daniel’s own artist color soon. We are preparing for activities that can unfold good influence, videos, and pictorials containing Kang Daniel’s various charms.”[s]
Icepray and Daniel were featured in The Star’s September 2020 cover story. The Icepray Kang Daniel Signature Edition box with IcePray No.1, No.0, and No.31 became available for ordering on September 3.[s] The black color design was based on Daniel’s personality. Icepray has been promoting as a social movement brand with good influence on society, donating products to firefighters and campaigning to protect fire road safety. The use of Braille on its products is an effort to have “design for everyone”. The CEO remarked, “I am very happy that Kang Daniel, an icon of good influence, has become a muse for Iceplay.”[s]
