Singer Kang Daniel will be attending a pro baseball game as the starting pitcher after Busan city’s honorary ambassador appointment ceremony.
Konnect Entertainment said, “Kang Daniel will be appointed as Busan city’s honorary ambassador at the Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium at 6 PM on July 9 and will attend the 2019 Shinhan Bank MICA KBO League game between the Lotte Giants and NC Dinos as the starting pitcher.”
At the ceremony, Kang Daniel will be appointed as an honorary ambassador by Busan’s mayor Oh Goedon. The entire appointment ceremony process will be broadcast live on Busan city and Busan Tourism Organization’s official SNS accounts (Facebook, YouTube).
In April, the Busan city government held an event for citizens to recommend honorary ambassadors who can best publicize Busan’s attractiveness, and it selected Kang Daniel as its ambassador. The honorary ambassador will do public service for citizens and is an unpaid honorary position.
Being the starting pitcher was especially Kang Daniel’s long-cherished wish. He said in a V LIVE with fans last year that he wanted to throw the ceremonial first pitch for his hometown team Lotte Giants at the Sajik Stadium.
Kang Daniel recently established one-man agency Konnect Entertainment and made his first step for his solo debut. Lim Kwangwook, CEO of the production label Divine Channel which produced a number of hit songs for K-pop idols, recently finished joining as the main producer of Kang’s album. Daniel is now preparing for a comeback, including choreography for his title song with a popular international choreographer.
