On April 29 at 7 p.m. KST, K-pop entertainment platform UNIVERSE released its 19th music project and second single with singer Kang Daniel titled “Ready to ride.” The music video’s full version was available exclusively on the UNIVERSE app for 5 days before it would be release on their YouTube channel on May 4.

The song features lyrics by Kang Daniel, Shin Sae Rom (makeumine works) and Y0UNG, produced by long time collaborators Anthony Pavel, Anthony Russo, Kaelyn Behr and MZMC, with arrangement by Staylz Fuego.

Daniel revealed through his UNIVERSE PMs that “Ready to ride” was originally a double title track for YELLOW with RTR as imagination and “PARANOIA” as reality. RTR was recorded before “PARANOIA” and Daniel originally envisioned an animated music video for it. He said, “But it was really a precious song for me so since it can be put to a good use, it’s good. Our A&R team and music video director are able to capture the concept so well with that result.” He described lyrics as “like the feeling when you are hanging out with your friends? The feeling when you drive comfortably.”[s] [s]

[Updated] On April 30, Konnect also released behind-the-scenes clips of the music video filming. UNIVERSE released the #Readytoride_challenge on May 3.
